If you live in Mississippi, your rights may be affected by a settlement of a lawsuit brought by Mississippi Attorney General in the United States District Court, Southern Mississippi Division.

WHAT IS THIS CASE ABOUT?

The lawsuit claims that the Defendants violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act, The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (“Dodd-Frank Act”), and the Mississippi Consumer Protection Act (“MCPA”). The lawsuit also claims that the Defendants engaged in marketing and sales of their credit monitoring products and credit scores in violation of the Dodd-Frank Act, the MCPA and the Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act. The Defendants deny any and all wrongdoing but have agreed to settle the case.

ARE YOU AFFECTED?

Generally, you are affected by this Settlement if you are of legal age and your current mailing address is located in Mississippi.

WHAT DOES THE SETTLEMENT PROVIDE?

The first 50,000 Eligible Mississippi Consumers who submit valid Online Registration Forms may receive an activation code, good for enrollment at a website allowing free, unlimited, access to their credit report for three years. These Mississippi Consumers may also receive their FICO score once a year for three years at no cost.

At the end of three years these benefits will automatically expire. They are not transferable to anyone else.
